Spring is my favorite season. Texas has
many, many wildflowers and something is always blooming. These images were photographed with a 100mm macro lens to get a close-up
view with the background blurry. We generally don’t see the details of flowers unless we stop and really take a close
look.

Photographer Lucy Durfee has lived in Austin, Texas since 1999. She specializes in nature,
location, and travel photography. She will conduct her first workshop in March. Her published work includes the covers of
the 2006 Austin and Houston Yellow Pages book; the Austin Entertainment Guide for 2006, 2005, 2004; “The Phoenix Factor,
Rising From the Ashes of Abuse”, by Phoenix Palmer. She is a member of four photography clubs and participated in several
exhibits with the clubs. This year she has five solo and three group exhibits scheduled in the Austin
